Call for Global Peace by Non-Aligned Movement

 (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Non-Aligned Movement for 120 countries around the world has discouraged the production of nuclear weapons by certain superpowers of this earth, while calling for peace to prevail in the world.The Non-Aligned Movement for 120 countries around the world has discouraged the production of nuclear weapons by certain superpowers of this earth, while calling for peace to prevail in the world. This was disclosed by Prime Minister Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini when he returned from the Non-Aligned Movement meeting that was attended by the 120 countries in Tehran, Iran.He pointed out that the non aligned movement was started in 1960 but had grown over the years as when it was started it had only less than 20 members. Dlamini said it was agreed that no country should pride itself in producing the nuclear weapons as they posed real danger to the world. “This was a very big meeting next to the United Nations and was attended by kings, presidents, vice presidents and prime ministers of the various countries. It was discussed how peace could be encouraged at international level.We also checked if the UN was still serving the right purpose and it was felt that in the Security Council, all countries should be able to have a say. It was also discussed that countries should not be heavily dependent on others and that all countries should use their own resources and not exploit those of others,” he said.  Dlamini further explained that the past chairman of the meeting was Egypt’s former President Hosni Mubarak, who then gave the reins to his Iran counterpart hence the meeting was held in Iran./129
